Last night might be one of our greatest opportunities to share the passion and knowledge among the web apps enthusiasts. Bancakan 2.0 event was successfully held for the second time in order to appreciate community of web programmers/developers in Jogjakarta.

Doocu Presentation on Bancakan Meetup

Being given 20 minutes of presentation, our founder Dwi Hermawanto (a.k.a Wawan) explained a little about Doocu, the history, technologies behind, future monetization options, etc. While still in Alpha stage, Doocu has the ability to serve basic tasks of a social PDF sharing site, like upload, share, download, and read the documents online.

Wawan also shared about the future development of Doocu which should be expanded to serve more user needs as well as client platforms such as mobile phones and desktop applications. Above all, Doocu’s determination is to show the world that Indonesia can build quality and useful web apps despite the Indonesian issues on internet black hat practices.

Bancakan meetup last night also attended by Danny Oei Wirianto who is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Kaskus, the largest community website in Indonesia. He gave a light and inspirational presentation about Kaskus’ history and development which is now becoming one of the most influencing website in this country.

By the way, we like your quote last night: “Indonesia is not a developing country, but a progressing country“. Yeah.. That rocks!
